Thanks to advanced ceramic technology, we offer a high-performance ball valve that is the ideal solution for many applications where wear, abrasion, impact, corrosion, and high temperatures can lead to the failure of conventional ball valves. In addition, the design of the FLOWSERVE ceramic-lined ball valve AKH5 offers minimal dead space, minimizing the retention of media deposits within the body cavity; therefore, problems related to product contamination are significantly reduced.
Wear resistance: Abrasion from slurries has only a minor effect on its hard surface.
Corrosion resistance: The material is resistant to acidic bases and most other corrosive substances.
Impact resistance: The composition of the materials and the advanced process technology result in high mechanical strength and durability.
Temperature resistance: High operating temperatures and thermal shocks are not a problem. The melting point of the Mg-PSZ ceramic is well above the ball valve limit of 350°C. Higher temperatures available on request.
Cavitation resistance: Problems caused by cavitation are greatly reduced due to the extreme hardness of the ceramic material (Rockwell 89).
