Stainless Steel Y-Strainer Type MY450 — Flanged Strainer for Pipeline Protection
The stainless steel y-strainer type MY450 is a flanged strainer with flange connections to EN 1092-1. It covers nominal sizes DN15 to DN300. Body and cover consist of cast stainless steel 1.4408. The filter screen uses SS316.
The Y-body design ensures low pressure drop. At the same time, it effectively filters solids and particles from the media stream. Additionally, the stainless steel strainer filter covers pressure ratings PN16 and PN40. It handles an operating temperature range of –40 °C to +450 °C.

The y-strainer stainless steel comes in fourteen nominal sizes. They range from DN15 to DN300. Flange connections conform to EN 1092-1, type B1. They cover the pressure ratings PN16 and PN40. In addition, the face-to-face length follows EN 558-1 Series 1. The operating temperature range extends from –40 °C to +450 °C.
Users can clean the standard mesh with Ø 1 mm perforation without removing the strainer from the pipeline. Furthermore, they can replace the screen on site. Optional mesh sizes from Ø 0.25 mm to Ø 1.6 mm adapt the filtration to the specific application.
Materials and Approvals of the Pipeline Strainer
Body and cover of the y-strainer consist of cast 1.4408. This austenitic stainless steel offers high resistance to acids, alkalis and chloride-bearing media. The filter screen in SS316 withstands corrosive fluids. Moreover, it handles high temperatures without issues.
The stainless steel mesh strainer holds AD2000 A4 approval. In addition, it meets TA-Luft requirements for low-emission sealing.
