FERGO offers the stainless steel gas ball valve DVGW KH124G. This 2-piece shut-off ball valve consists of stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M) and features a threaded connection Rp to DIN EN 10226-1 (ISO 7/1). It provides reliable full-bore shut-off. It covers nominal sizes DN½” to DN2″ at pressure rating PN16 with a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar. Moreover, DVGW gas approval to DIN EN 13774 permits use with natural gas (G260), biogas (G262), hydrogen, argon and acetylene. Technical Data and Connection
The stainless steel ball valve gas threaded KH124G covers nominal sizes DN½”, DN¾”, DN1″, DN1¼”, DN1½” and DN2″ at pressure rating PN16. The connection is female threaded Rp to DIN EN 10226-1 (ISO 7/1). The operating temperature range is –20 °C to +60 °C depending on operating pressure. The maximum operating pressure is 16 bar. In addition, the 2-piece full-bore design ensures minimal pressure loss in the gas pipeline.
Materials and Sealing
Body and ball of the gas ball valve 1.4408 DVGW use corrosion-resistant stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M). This material suits continuous service in gas supply networks and process installations. The stem uses stainless steel 1.4401. The PTFE seat seal provides a gas-tight shut-off across the full temperature range. Moreover, a disc-spring preloaded PTFE packing ensures long-term leak-free stem sealing.
Approvals and Gas Applications
The stainless steel gas ball valve ATEX KH124G holds DVGW gas approval to DIN EN 13774 and complies with the Gas Appliances Regulation GAR EU-2016-426. Moreover, ATEX approval to 2014/34/EU (Group 2, Category 1) permits installation in explosive zones. In addition, TA-Luft conformity to DIN EN ISO 15848 confirms tightness against fugitive emissions. The valve is silicone-free and LABS compliant to VDMA 24364. CE marking is in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014/68/EU Category 3.
