Flow Sight Glass Stainless Steel Type GD100 — Viewing Window for Flange and Thread
The flow sight glass stainless steel type GD100 enables visual monitoring of flow and media condition directly in the pipeline. Its body consists of cast stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M). The viewing window uses soda-lime tempered glass to DIN 8902. Additionally, between body and glass, a PTFE seal provides tightness.
The flanged variant GD100-SSTXF covers nominal sizes DN15 to DN100. Its flange connection follows DIN 2501 PN16. The threaded variant GD100-SSTXI comes in sizes ½″ to 2″. It features a female thread to ISO 7-1.
The maximum operating temperature is 130 °C. In addition, short-term peaks up to 160 °C are possible. The operating pressure reaches up to 16 bar. Typical applications include water treatment, HVAC systems, plant and machinery monitoring and food and beverage processing. Technical Data and Connection
The flanged variant comes in nine nominal sizes. They range from DN15 to DN100. Furthermore, the flange connections conform to DIN 2501 PN16. The face-to-face length follows DIN 3202 F1.
Moreover, the threaded variant covers six sizes. These are ½″, ¾″, 1″, 1¼″, 1½″ and 2″. All variants use a female thread to ISO 7-1. Additionally, pressure ratings include PN10 and PN16. The maximum operating pressure is 16 bar.
Furthermore, the operating temperature reaches 130 °C. Additionally, the valve tolerates short-term peaks up to 160 °C. In addition, the thermal shock resistance of the tempered glass is 120 °C to DIN 52323.
Materials and Construction
The body of the flow sight glass stainless steel consists of cast 1.4408 (CF8M). This austenitic stainless steel offers high resistance to water, oils, air and neutral liquids.
In addition, the viewing window in soda-lime tempered glass to DIN 8902 withstands thermal shock up to 120 °C. Moreover, it resists the mechanical loads of pipeline operation. The PTFE seal between body and glass ensures reliable sealing. It covers the full temperature and pressure range. The socket variant features an additional ball-blasted surface finish.
