Brass Y-strainer: Female thread
The brass Y-strainer is equipped with a stainless steel mesh featuring a mesh size of either 0.5 mm or 0.8 mm. It is ideally designed for use in hot and cold water pipes, removing coarse dirt particles from the water to protect valves and downstream equipment from contamination. This strainer is also suitable for use in compressed air lines.
This MY100 Y-type strainer is typically installed upstream of valves that are sensitive to solids and impurities in the medium. Likewise, the MY100 is used to clean cooling water circuits for subsequent use, for example. As the medium flows through the internal fine-mesh screen, hazardous solids are filtered out.
