The drinking water ball valve KH124W is a DVGW-approved shut-off valve in a 2-piece body of stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M). This DVGW certified ball valve provides reliable full-bore shut-off for potable water supply, water treatment and municipal water networks in threaded connections DN½” to DN2″ at PN10. Technical Data and Connection
The potable water ball valve KH124W covers nominal sizes DN½”, DN¾”, DN1″, DN1¼”, DN1½” and DN2″ at pressure rating PN10. Connection is via female thread Rp to DIN EN 10226-1 (ISO 7/1). The operating temperature range is 0 °C to +90 °C with a maximum working pressure of 10 bar. The 2-piece full-bore design ensures minimal pressure loss in the drinking water pipeline.
Materials and Sealing
Body and ball of the DVGW approved ball valve are manufactured in stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M) — corrosion-resistant and suitable for permanent contact with drinking water. The stem is made of stainless steel 1.4401. The PTFE seat seal provides taste-neutral, hygienically safe shut-off. The stem seal uses a disc-spring preloaded PTFE packing for long-term leak-free operation.
Approvals and Drinking Water Hygiene
The drinking water ball valve KH124W holds DVGW approval to DIN EN 13828 W570-1 for potable water applications. TA-Luft conformity to DIN EN ISO 15848 confirms tightness against fugitive emissions. The water supply ball valve is silicone-free and LABS-free to VDMA 24364 — a requirement for drinking water installations under current hygiene regulations. CE marking is in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014/68/EU. The fire-safe design ensures operational integrity in the event of fire.
Actuation and Ordering
The drinking water ball valve KH124W is supplied with a hand lever as standard. Automation with pneumatic actuators (single-acting or double-acting), electric actuators or gearbox is carried out in-house via the mounting interface to DIN ISO 5211.
