Compared to the existing range of floating ball valves, the ATOMAC AKH8 is a valve featuring a one-piece ball and stem unit. The rigid connection between these two elements facilitates the use of viscous, high-viscosity, and sticky media, especially in high switching cycles, as it prevents wear and tear of the drive pin in the ball slot.
The excellent design of the static and dynamic body flange seal of the FLOWSERVE ATOMAC AKH2.2, featuring a metal-to-metal connection, has also been implemented in this new monoblock ball valve. As a result, neither piping bending forces nor thermal cycling stresses have a negative impact on the torque.
