PFA-lined 3-way ball valve – ATOMAC AMP3 for aggressive media
The ATOMAC AMP3 is a PFA-lined 3-way ball valve from Flowserve, designed for use with aggressive, corrosive and chemically demanding media. The full-surface PFA lining protects all components in contact with the medium from acids, alkalis and solvents, whilst the compact body offers high flow capacity with minimal pressure loss.
Key technical data for the AMP3:
- Nominal diameters: DN25, DN40, DN50, DN80, DN100
- Flange connection to DIN EN 1092-2, PN16
- Overall length in accordance with DIN EN 558 Series 1
- Body: spheroidal graphite cast iron GGG40.3 (EN-JS 1049), PFA-lined
- Ball: cast steel 1.0619, PFA-coated
- Actuating pin: duplex 1.4470, PFA-coated
- Seat rings and packing: PTFE
- Max. operating temperature: +200 °C
- Approval: TA-Luft
L-ball or T-ball – schematic diagrams for diverting and mixing
The AMP3 is available in two bore sizes:
- AMP3L (L-ball): Bypass function – the medium is directed from one inlet to one of two outlet paths. Typically used for bypassing, switching between process lines or filter changes whilst the system is running.
- AMP3T (T-ball): Mixing or distribution function – two or all three connections are connected simultaneously. Ideal for collection, distribution and mixing applications in chemical processes.
AMP3 with conductive PFA (PFA-L) for ATEX applications
For use in potentially explosive atmospheres, Fergo supplies the AMP3 optionally with an electrically conductive PFA lining (PFA-L) in combination with a conductive PTFE seat. The conductive lining prevents the valve from becoming electrostatically charged and enables the charge to be safely dissipated – a fundamental requirement for operation in ATEX zones.
The PFA-conductive versions of the AMP3L and AMP3T are available in nominal diameters DN25, DN50, DN80 and DN100. All other technical data – pressure rating, temperature range, materials – correspond to the standard version.
Materials, certificates and automation
The AMP3 has TA-Luft approval in accordance with VDI 2440 and is therefore suitable for emission-critical processes. The ball valve can be directly automated via the ISO 5211 mounting flange – optionally with a pneumatic or electric rotary actuator, or with a worm gear and handwheel. Standard operation: hand lever.
