Wafer Butterfly Valve — GGG40 with EPDM, NBR or FKM Seat up to DN600
The wafer butterfly valve type AK200 is a butterfly valve wafer GGG40 with 150 µm epoxy coating and CF8M disc for industrial piping systems. The body consists of ductile iron GGG40, the disc of CF8M (1.4408). The shaft is AISI 420. The valve is available with EPDM, NBR or FPM/FKM (Viton) seat ring. This wafer butterfly valve DN600 covers nominal sizes DN25 to DN600 in pressure ratings PN10 and PN16 and mounts between PN10/16 or ANSI Class 150 flanges. Moreover, the face-to-face length follows EN 558 Series S20. The mounting flange conforms to ISO 5211 for lever, gearbox, pneumatic or electric actuator. Technical Data and Connection
The wafer butterfly valve is available in nominal sizes DN25, DN32, DN40, DN50, DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150, DN200, DN250, DN300, DN350, DN400, DN450, DN500 and DN600. Pressure ratings cover PN10 and PN16. In addition, the wafer body mounts between mating flanges PN10, PN16 or ANSI Class 150. The face-to-face length to EN 558 Series S20 is the standardised short length for wafer butterfly valves. The butterfly valve EPDM PN16 comes with lever, gearbox, pneumatic actuator (single-acting or double-acting) or electric actuator. Finally, optional accessories include limit switch box, solenoid valve, positioner and stem extension.
Materials and Sealing
The body of the wafer butterfly valve consists of ductile iron GGG40 with 150 µm epoxy coating for high corrosion resistance. The disc in CF8M (1.4408) provides additional resistance against aggressive media. For the shaft, AISI 420 is used; this ensures high mechanical strength. The wafer butterfly valve NBR with its NBR seat ring is suited for compressed air, oils and neutral media at temperatures from −10 °C to +80 °C. The EPDM seat ring version handles water, aqueous solutions and air from −10 °C to +120 °C. For chemically demanding applications, the FPM/FKM seat ring (Viton) is available. The concentric design with a centrally mounted disc ensures reliable tight shut-off. In addition, the ISO 5211 mounting flange allows direct attachment of different actuator types without adaptation.

The wafer butterfly valve protects pipelines in building services, HVAC systems, water supply networks and industrial process plants.
