Slide gate: Double-plate
The FL500 is a double-plate slide gate designed to meet the most demanding requirements and is particularly suitable for media with a high solids content. This slide gate, which seals on both sides, is primarily used in the bulk materials and paper industries, where it is particularly suitable for heavily contaminated and coarse media. In the open position, both gate plates are fully housed within the casing, thus allowing the full passage to remain unobstructed. When the gate plates close, they force all contaminants out of the casing and into the flow. This design guarantees a long service life whilst minimising maintenance requirements.
