Silo Valves – Sliding Gate Valves
The FG400 sliding gate valve has been specially designed for use in silo and tank outlets. The special, funnel-shaped housing allows the medium – such as powders or granules – to flow through easily. This valve is also suitable for media with a very high solids content. Should solids become lodged in the sealing area, this can be cleared using compressed air via the standard purge connections. To ensure that the intended operation is always maintained, the shut-off gate should be installed horizontally beneath the silo.
