The FB200 bi-directional knife gate valve shuts off solids-laden, viscous and abrasive media in industrial pipelines. Unlike uni-directional valves, the FB200 seals reliably in both flow directions. This is a decisive advantage in plants where the flow direction changes or where pressure can act from either side.
A sharp-edged stainless steel gate plate travels through the medium like a guillotine and cuts fibres, sludge and granulates. In addition, the one-piece wafer body allows quick installation between standard PN10 flanges to EN 1092-1. All knife gate valves comply with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and carry the CE mark.

Body and Gate Plate Materials
The cast iron GG25 knife gate valve is the most economical solution for sewage plants, wastewater, pulp and paper, and power plants. Here, the gate plate is SS304L (1.4306) and the stem SS303 (1.4305). For higher mechanical loads, FERGO also supplies the body in GGG40.
The stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M) knife gate valve, by contrast, suits chemicals, food processing, pharmaceuticals and aggressive suspensions. In this version, the gate plate is SS316L (1.4404), which offers higher corrosion resistance thanks to its molybdenum content. For extremely abrasive media in mining or cement, FERGO also offers a Hardox gate plate.
