Bellows Sealed Globe Valve Type VG065 — Hermetically Sealing Valve for Highest Emission Requirements
The bellows sealed globe valve type VG065 is a flanged valve in 1.0619 (WCB) with a metal bellows. The bellows consists of AISI 321 or AISI 316Ti. It provides hermetic stem sealing. Actuation is by handwheel with rising stem. Disc and stem consist of ASTM A276 Type 410, the seat of 1.0619 with 13Cr facing. In Class 600 execution, the seat is stellite-faced. The packing rings consist of graphite.
The bellows sealed valve PN40 covers nominal sizes DN15 to DN300. It is available with DIN flanges to EN 1092-1 Form B (PN40). In addition, it offers ANSI flanges to ASME B16.5 Class 150, 300 and 600 RF. The maximum operating temperature is 400 °C, pressure-dependent. The face-to-face length conforms to EN 558-1 Series 1 or ASME B16.10.
Tightness is tested to EN 12266-1 Rate A. For the ANSI version, testing follows ASME B16.34 absolute tightness. The bellows valve firesafe holds approvals to TA-Luft, ATEX, Firesafe and AD2000. FERGO supplies the bellows valve high temperature ex stock.
Technical Data and Connection of the Bellows Sealed Valve
The bellows sealed globe valve comes in nominal sizes DN15 to DN300. That corresponds to ½″ to 10″. Moreover, the DIN version covers PN40 to EN 1092-1 Form B. Furthermore, the ANSI version offers Class 150 (19 bar), Class 300 (50 bar) and Class 600 (100 bar) to ASME B16.5 RF. In addition, the face-to-face length conforms to EN 558-1 Series 1 or ASME B16.10.
The maximum operating temperature is 400 °C. It is pressure-dependent. Tightness testing follows EN 12266-1 Rate A for the DIN version. For the ANSI version, ASME B16.34 absolute tightness applies. Therefore, the bellows globe valve ANSI 150 300 600 suits international projects with different flange standards.
Materials and Approvals of the Flanged Bellows Valve
The body consists of 1.0619 (WCB). This heat-resistant cast steel suits high-temperature service. Disc and stem in ASTM A276 Type 410, together with the 13Cr-faced seat, ensure wear-resistant shut-off. In Class 600, the seat is additionally stellite-faced.
The bellows in AISI 321 or AISI 316Ti seals the stem passage hermetically. It is certified to TA-Luft. The graphite packing serves as an additional safety seal. In addition, the bellows sealed globe valve holds approvals to AD2000. It also meets TA-Luft requirements for low-emission sealing. Furthermore, it holds ATEX approval for explosive atmospheres and Firesafe approval for fire exposure.
Applications and Ordering of the High-Temperature Bellows Valve
The bellows sealed globe valve protects steam and superheated steam lines reliably. It also protects thermal oil circuits, petrochemical process lines and installations carrying toxic media. Flammable media likewise remain safely isolated. The hermetic stem seal provided by the metal bellows prevents fugitive emissions. This gives a decisive advantage in plants subject to strict environmental regulations.
The ATEX and Firesafe approvals make the valve suitable for explosive atmospheres. In addition, it suits fire-risk installations. Availability in both DIN and ANSI flange executions covers European project requirements. Furthermore, it meets international requirements.
