FERGO offers the drinking water flanged ball valve KH123W, a DVGW-approved shut-off valve with a 2-piece body of stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M). This valve serves potable water supply, water treatment and municipal water networks. It provides reliable full-bore shut-off in nominal sizes DN15 to DN200 and pressure ratings PN10, PN16 and PN40. Technical Data and Pressure Ratings
The DVGW ball valve flanged drinking water KH123W covers nominal sizes DN15 to DN200 in pressure ratings PN10, PN16 and PN40. Face-to-face lengths conform to DIN EN 558 Series 27 and Series 1, while flange connections follow DIN PN16. The operating temperature range is –20 °C to +180 °C for drinking water applications and –20 °C to +60 °C for gas applications. Consequently, the 2-piece full-bore design ensures minimal pressure loss in the potable water pipeline.
Materials and Seat Variants
The body and ball of the potable water flanged ball valve use stainless steel 1.4408 (CF8M) — corrosion-resistant and suitable for permanent contact with drinking water and treated process media. The stem uses stainless steel 1.4401.
Moreover, FERGO offers six seat seal options: PTFE for standard drinking water applications, PTFE + glass fibre for increased pressure resistance, PTFE + TFM for reduced cold flow, antimony-carbon for abrasive media, PEEK for high temperatures and FKM + PTFE + graphite for combined chemical-thermal loads. The seat selection determines the permissible temperature and media range.

The drinking water ball valve KH123W holds DVGW approval to DIN EN 13828 for potable water applications. TA-Luft conformity confirms tightness against fugitive emissions. The stainless steel ball valve DVGW approved carries CE marking in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014/68/EU. Moreover, the actuator mounting flanges comply with ISO 5211 and allow direct mounting of quarter-turn actuators.
