Dual Plate Check Valve RF200 – Spring-Loaded Backflow Prevention in GGG40
The dual plate check valve type RF200 is a compact, spring-loaded wafer non-return valve for industrial piping systems. Two semi-circular discs open with flow and close within fractions of a second on flow reversal – providing effective water hammer protection and pressure surge prevention.
Key technical data:
- Nominal sizes: DN50, DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150, DN200, DN250, DN300
- Flange connection: DIN PN10/PN16
- Face-to-face length per EN 558-1 Series 16
- Body: GGG40 (EN-GJS-400-15), epoxy-coated RAL 5015
- Plates: stainless steel CF8M
- Shaft and spring: stainless steel SS316
- Max. operating pressure: 16 bar
Seat Materials – EPDM or NBR
- EPDM vulcanised: for water, air and aqueous media up to +120 °C
- NBR vulcanised: for oils, greases and hydrocarbons up to +80 °C
The vulcanised sealing surface ensures a durable, dimensionally stable seal – even with frequent closing cycles and varying pressure conditions.
Why a Dual Plate Check Valve Instead of a Single-Disc Design?
- Faster closing: two shorter plates close faster than one long disc – significantly reducing pressure surges and water hammer.
- Low pressure loss: symmetrical flow path with low resistance coefficient – suitable for high-volume flows.
- Compact design: wafer body per EN 558-1 Series 16 – space-saving even in tight plant layouts.
- Any installation orientation: horizontal, vertical or inclined – the spring assists closing regardless of gravity.
Applications
- Pump stations and pressure boosting systems
- Water and wastewater treatment
- Heating, cooling and HVAC systems
- Process industry and plant engineering
- Industrial cooling circuits and power plants
- Shipbuilding and marine applications
