Plastic Check Valve RK106 – PVC, PP and PVDF for Chemically Aggressive Media
The plastic check valve type RK106 is a fully configurable wafer check valve for use with aggressive, corrosive and chemically demanding media. Body, disc and screws are made entirely of plastic – available in PVC, PP (polypropylene) or PVDF. The minimal face-to-face length and integrated sealing ring enable simple installation between flanges per DIN 2632/2633 – without additional flange gaskets.

PVC, PP or PVDF – Which Material for Which Application?
- PVC check valve: standard material for water, wastewater and dilute acids. Max. operating pressure: 5 bar. Most cost-effective option for general water treatment plants.
- PP check valve: higher chemical resistance than PVC, especially against concentrated acids and alkalis. Max. operating pressure: 6 bar. Ideal for chemical process plants and electroplating facilities.
- PVDF check valve: highest chemical and thermal resistance in the RK106 series. Max. operating pressure: 8 bar. Suitable for highly concentrated acids, solvents and elevated temperatures in semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries.
With or Without Spring – Customise the Check Valve
The PVC wafer check valve RK106 is available in two functional designs:
- Without spring return: gravity closing – for horizontal installation and slow processes without water hammer risk.
- With spring return: spring in stainless steel 1.4571 (Hastelloy on request). For any installation orientation, faster closing and increased water hammer protection. Opening pressure can be adjusted via different spring strengths.
With four seat materials (NBR, EPDM, Viton, PTFE) and three body plastics, the plastic non-return valve can be configured precisely for each application.
