Unidirectional Slurry Gate Valve in Cast Iron or Stainless Steel – DN50 to DN1200
The knife gate valve FM200 is a unidirectional sealing slurry gate valve for shut-off of solids-laden, viscous and abrasive media in industrial pipelines. A sharp-edged stainless steel gate plate moves guillotine-style through the medium, cutting through fibres, slurries and granulates instead of jamming. The FM200 is Fergo’s best-selling knife gate valve – with the widest size and seat material range in the portfolio.
The wafer body installs between standard flanges per EN 1092-1, face-to-face per EN 558 Series 20. All knife gate valves carry the CE marking per Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.

Body and Gate Plate Materials
- Cast iron GG25 knife gate valve: standard for wastewater, pulp and paper, power plants and mining. Epoxy or polyester coated. Most cost-effective.
- Ductile iron GGG40: higher mechanical strength for pressure-surge-prone applications.
- Stainless steel knife gate valve 1.4408 / 1.4571: for chemical, food, pharma and aggressive suspensions. Hygienic, corrosion-resistant.
- Gate plate: 1.4301, 1.4408, 1.4571 or Hardox for highly abrasive media
