Dead-Space-Free Knife Gate Valve – Bidirectional with Integrated Scraping

The knife gate valve FB700 is a dead-space-free slurry gate valve with bidirectional sealing and integrated scraping action. Its smooth, full-bore passage prevents solids from accumulating in the body cavity – a common problem with conventional knife gate valves. At the same time, the scraping function built into the plate guide cleans the gate plate on every closing cycle, ensuring consistently reliable sealing.

The innovative U-profile seal with steel core reinforcement is the technical centrepiece of the FB700. It provides bidirectional sealing up to full nominal pressure while offering excellent dimensional stability and service life – even with solids-laden, abrasive or fibrous media. The one-piece wafer body installs between standard PN10 flanges per EN 1092-1. CE marking per Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.

Body and Gate Plate Materials

• Stainless steel 1.4408 / 1.4571: for chemical, food and pharmaceutical applications. Gate plate SS316L (1.4404). Hardox plate for highly abrasive media.

FB700 vs. FB200 – Why Choose the Dead-Space-Free Design?

• Dead-space-free bore: no cavity in the body where solids can settle and impair valve function. Critical for fibrous, sticky or heavily contaminated media.
