Steel wedge gate valve: metal-seated
Wedge gate valves are used to control the flow of liquids by raising or lowering a solid gate or wedge to open or close the passage. They are typically used in systems where full, unobstructed flow or complete shut-off is required. Thanks to the metal Seat, they can also be used at higher temperatures.
The VA430 wedge gate valve is a high-quality industrial valve distinguished by its robust design and high reliability. It features a bolted Lid and an outside screw and yoke (OSY), ensuring easy maintenance and a long service life. The flanged gate valve is equipped with a flange connection PN10/PN16 to EN 1092-1, form B1, and has a Face-to-face to EN 558-1, series 14.
Manufactured from high-quality materials such as 1.0619 (steel) for the Case Lid and X20Cr13 for the stem, the VA430 wedge gate valve is designed for demanding operating conditions. The Seat is made of 13Cr, ensuring high wear resistance. The graphite packing meets TA Luft requirements for particularly tight sealing, even at higher temperatures. The VA430 is designed for a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar and a maximum operating temperature of 400°C. It is manually operated via a handwheel and complies with key standards such as AD2000, NACE, PED2014/68/EU and TA Luft.
This gate valve is ideal for use in the chemical and petrochemical industry, power plants, and oil and gas production. It is particularly suitable for media such as water, wastewater, steam, gases and aggressive liquids that place high demands on the material and tightness.
