Wedge Gate Valve Type VA200 — Ductile Iron Gate Valve for Drinking Water and Wastewater
The wedge gate valve type VA200 is a ductile iron gate valve with elastomer-coated wedge. It provides tight shut-off in drinking water, wastewater and industrial installations. The body consists of EN-GJS-400-15 (GGG40). The wedge also uses GGG40 and carries a full EPDM or NBR coating. Moreover, the EPDM version holds DVGW approval for drinking water. This gate valve DN600 covers nominal sizes DN32 to DN600. It is available in pressure ratings PN10 and PN16. Flange drilling conforms to EN 1092-2 PN10/16. Furthermore, the face-to-face length follows DIN EN 558-1 Series 14 (F4). This short pattern suits space-saving installations. The maximum operating temperature is 70 °C. In addition, the short face-to-face length to DIN EN 558-1 Series 14 (F4) allows installation in confined pipe runs. It also fits existing systems with limited space. Moreover, the maximum operating temperature is 70 °C. This gate valve PN16 comes with handwheel, electric rotary actuator or pneumatic double-acting actuator. The electric version with B3 coupling to ISO 5210 is compatible with AUMA and Bernard actuators.
Materials and Sealing of the Ductile Iron Gate Valve
Body and wedge of the gate valve ductile iron flanged consist of EN-GJS-400-15 (GGG40). This ductile material offers high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. The wedge carries a full EPDM or NBR coating. As a result, it provides metal-free, tight shut-off to Class A. The EPDM version holds DVGW approval for use in drinking water installations.
