Brass Gate Valve Type VA100 — Threaded Valve with Metal Seat for Domestic Water and Heating
The brass gate valve type VA100 is a threaded valve in CW617N. It features a metal-sealing seat for domestic water, heating and HVAC installations. Body and wedge consist of brass CW617N. Moreover, the seat seal is metallic. This valve PN16 covers sizes ½″ to 4″ at an operating pressure of 16 bar. Connection is by female thread on both ends to DIN EN ISO 228. In addition, NPT threads to ANSI B2.1 are available from 2½″. Actuation is by steel handwheel. The operating temperature range is 0 °C to 150 °C. Steam lines are not suitable. The threaded valve is available in sizes ½″, ¾″, 1″, 1¼″, 1½″, 2″, 2½″, 3″ and 4″. The pressure rating is PN16 at a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar. Moreover, the maximum operating temperature is 150 °C. Connection is by female thread on both ends (IT/IT) to DIN EN ISO 228. Furthermore, from 2½″, NPT threads to ANSI B2.1 are available as an alternative. This CW617N model provides full bore. As a result, it minimises pressure loss across the valve. The steel handwheel is red-painted.
Materials and Construction
Body and wedge consist of CW617N. This dezincification-resistant brass alloy offers high corrosion resistance in drinking water and heating systems. The metal-sealing seat provides reliable shut-off without an elastomer seal. In addition, the female thread with threaded sockets on both ends enables quick installation in existing pipelines. This design avoids the need for flanged connections. The compact design suits installations with limited space.
